MOBILE HOME PARK LAW
Louis S. St.Laurent II represents various mobile home park associations in 6 counties of Florida (Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, Lee, Charlotte and Collier) with their problems involving park services, enforcement of or violations of the park rules and regulations and mobile home park annual rent increases. He has been the legal advisor for Districts 7, 12 and 12A of the FMO (Federation of Manufactured Homes Owners of Florida) and attends their monthly district meetings.
CIVIL FRAUD LITIGATION
Louis S.St.Laurent II represents clients who have been victims of fraudulent business transactions, including advance fees and fraudulent loans. While serving as a state prosecutor from 1969-1980 he was involved in the investigation and prosecution of some of the largest fraud cases in Florida, including bank and land fraud. He also performs services relating to due diligence for clients who seek to obtain information on those with whom they are contemplating a business or financial transaction.
APPELLATE LAW
Louis S. St.Laurent II has handled both civil and criminal appeals for the past 30 years, starting in 1968 with the Florida State Road Department in Tallahassee and with the State Attorneys office in Fort Myers. He has recently been successful in getting the dismissal of a defamation action brought by a public official reversed by the appellate court on two occasions.
DEFAMATION LAW (LIBEL AND SLANDER)
Louis S. St.Laurent II has handled defamation actions for both public officials and private citizens. He has experience in the newspaper industry serving as President and Co-Editor of Le Soleil de La Floride, Florida's largest French newspaper.
